ISHD facilitated a Training Needs Assessment (TNA) and conducted a One Week Training/Workshop on Gender Mainstreaming into Policy Formulation and Implementation for Niger State Government through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development with the support of UNDP in August and September, 2015. The training involved the entire MDAs with gender-desk officers, directors and permanent secretaries of priority sectors in attendance. An action plan for further gender mainstreaming activities in the State was developed for the next one year. The action plan includes training of the State legislators, Monitoring and Evaluation Officers, more NGOs in order to make the concept a culture and a way of life in Niger State.

ISHD led WANEP Team in a Capacity Building Training of CDD officers of Lagos State at the IDP Camp, Agbowa and advocacy visits to LASEMA, MIN Of LGAs and some LGAs.
